Seminar Title: Reclaiming Self: Insights from a Survivor – One Woman’s Journey through Fear, Desperation, Love, Self–discovery and Wholeness

Expounding upon her combination of personal and professional experiences, Cathy Brochu invites people behind the closed-doors of self-discovery and reveals insights about the entire process of moving from victim to survivor and from survivor to author, educator and activist.  With specific references to first-hand accounts, Cathy explores a wide range of issues underlying depression, including loss of self and family, care giving, grief, and a candid look into family violence and incest as can only be told by someone who experienced it.  Audiences are equipped with specific coping strategies, pragmatic tools, and a gripping story of hope and personal triumph.
